Legally Blonde
Musicals in the West End are monumentally popular, which is why so many tickets are sold all of the time for the latest hits. Along with concert tickets and tickets to the latest plays, they make up a big part of London’s live scene. The inspiration for them comes from many different quarters – some are totally original, whilst others take their cues from well known movies or the music of successful bands. It means that there is a diverse range of hit shows on offer in Theatreland.

Legally Blonde – The Musical, at the Savoy Theatre, is one of the many shows that takes what’s worked onscreen and turns it into a fantastic stage show. It’s a classic story, in which we are introduced to the character of Elle Woods, a girl who doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer.
The story is set in motion when she is dumped by her boyfriend who strives for someone a bit more serious. So she rids herself of credit cards and instead picks up the books whilst studying for a degree at Harvard Law. It is based on the movie that featured Reese Witherspoon and led by choreographer Jerry Mitchell, the Tony award winning man behind Hairpsray.
